One of the projects that took me the most time to finalize. I procrastinated it so much, because I got scared of its scale - when the time came to process all the responses to the poll, it just overwhelmed me. Fortunately, when spring came, I found inner strength. That's why one of my most important publications came to life.
On one of the TTRPG Discord servers in Łódź I saw very frequently messages from people who wanted to play, but couldn't find any group. It got me thinking: what keeps them from GMing their own sessions? I mean, if someone wants to play, but can't find any session to participate in, it seems pretty natural that they take a rulebook and organize a group by themselves, right? Isn't it the way many of the GMs are born?
It turns out it's not that easy.
Just GM! is a manual created based on a poll I conducted in 2025 in Polish TTRPG community. Around 40 GMs with different experience and playing style provided their feedback to a handful of doubts which may arise in a debuting GM's head. Thanks to this collective knowledge I created a set of advices how to tackle things that might keep one from GMing.
